Dream resort on the Bürgenstock rock

At 875m above sea level, the Bürgenstock Hotel 5 * Superior, which was completed in 2017, overlooks almost the whole of Lake Lucerne in Switzerland.

The new building, which faces north in the direction of Lucerne, is the heart of the large-scale resort. Apart from the glass base, the entire volume is covered in pale Sellenberg limestone, and blends in perfectly with the structure of the surrounding rocky landscape.

Scenes from legendary films such as Goldfinger were used for the interior design of the hotel, and Hollywood icons such as Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren would have felt at home in the glamorous suites.

In the standard rooms, all of which look onto the lake, the sleeping area is separated from the bathroom by a transparent glass sliding door. The special glass that has been used for the door provides privacy in the bathroom, and blends in harmoniously with the design of the room furnishings. The Hawa Junior 120 A was chosen for effortless operation of the relatively large and heavy sliding doors.
